What’s New?

So, there are a lot of new things that have been happening lately, that I failed to blog. In general I have actually failed to blog in a while, hence why I am getting back on the Blog bandwagon now. So life can change at a drop of a dime (So the saying goes) and It has for me. The last few months I have had trials, but within all dark there will always be light  So, of course I had some great times too. Trials I had to face start off with Education. Whoever, If anyone (Echo…Echo…Echo….) who reads this blog knows that I was set to go to a great Out of State College called: BYU-I. That however did not happen. I planned on attending BYU-I for a semester online and then when everything (Me, Finances, parents, Finances... etc.) was ready to go I would make the final move up there. (Which B.T.W. the “I” in BYU-I stands for Idaho) I did take a semester online, but I didn’t make the move. It was all merely a family matter that I did not go to BYU-I. So... That happened. Which Sucked, but it’s ok because now I have time to take a step back and reevaluate my life and future decisions. Did I mention I only had a Month left till I was going to leave? So yea that was a bummer, but something did great did come out of it. I met someone and he is really a great, sweet guy. I wonder if I had left would I have even met him? We started dating and then eventually decided to make it official. I really do care for him and can see a future for us down the road. I don’t know where else life will take me or where God will lead me but I do know that I am down for the Ride.

Happy Labor Day!

Labor day is A great time to support and remember American workers from, times of past till now.
Today, I will most likely be spending time with my Family at one of our many " Last minute Spur of the moment barbeques". Speaking of my family, which I love and have grown to accept their weirdness.. Why do we really never plan anything out for holidays and such? I mean yes, their is the yearly Vacation, but lets actually plan like a few weeks ahead of time So I don't double book instead of the "usual" phone call One-two days ahead :) Today, I will probably have movie night at the BF's later and then ultimately I will indulge in a little bit of dessert. (Hopefully some kind of Pie with berrys). That's My mapped out plan! Will it go as planned? who knows.. We shall see :) P.S. I can't wait to break out the Boots & Sweaters for Fall! California weather isn't like most, we don't have seasons as other states. I can tell you though that when it comes.. Hip Hip Hooray!

42 Days Till Rexburg!

It's crazy to think that this is the path I'm on. I would say that about 4 years ago I would have never imagined my life, like it is right now. I'm happy, excited, going to college, going to live in another state! I'm literally a cross between Nervous & Anxious. I'm Nervous.. Because I mean yes, I'm 21 and no I have never left home before. I have thoughts running through my mind such as: "Will I be ok?", "Will I make any friends?" "Will I survive?".... haha. I mean these are perfectly rational thoughts in which I'm sure that every college student asks their selves at least once. Right? Also, It’s the Anxious side… “ I can’t wait to leave home! Start a new adventure!” “I wish the date would hurry up already”.. Once again these are normal. Life is full of big questions and sometimes unfortunately there will always be. So, with that being said.. I have decided to just (to the best of my ability) relax. Breathe and Calm down. It’s in our Heavenly Father’s hands. God will give us the tools to overcome our fears and anxiety. Whether you’re struggling with something or don’t know what path your headed. Breathe. I will be ok and I know that You will be ok too. Just leave it in God’s Hands and all the rest will come into place. Rexburg.. Here I come! I’m not leaving till September, but I will enjoy the company of all those around me until I leave.

Valuable lessons in Dating.

Yesterday was Sunday which included Church and then a fireside to follow. The fireside was about Dating and it was great! It was long.. but, great valuable lessons. The fireside was about a web blog turned Book "31 dates in 31 days" by Tamara Duricka Johnson. The best part is that not only was the author their in person, but she was Mormon!(me too) I loved it when I first heard about the fireside and actually looked at her blog after hearing all she had to say. Here's the blog link: So the super "Me" summed up version is that she(me too) was tired of being single and wanted to start anew. The idea ultimately meant to start fresh, go on first dates, have fun and just enjoy the process without any expectations. So, she went on 31 dates in 31 days, had a second date with one of them and ended up marrying the same guy! It's pretty official that she's a Rockstar! In the church alot of times dating isn't easy... like AT ALL! Especially to a Convert looking in.(also like me)So, because of that I have decided to really put myself out there and start dating. I feel like this experience will take time and also building my confidence. One of the Prime Lessons that I learned from Tamara's talk was to just say "Yes". Yes to anyone that asks for a date and/or anyone that I wouldn't normally go for. I should give everyone a chance and that's exactly what I'm going to do. The only problem is that will those same people have the same motto as me, the "Yes" to anyone motto. I just hope to be given a chance as I am giving a chance to everyone else. Another Great Valuable lesson was just because you went on a date with a person and sparks did not fly that doesn't mean it's a dead end. The reason for this is because they have friends! One of those friends could be the one and even your future spouse. So... You...Never...Know... :) So we shall see where this goes!

Accepted?

So I applied to University! I applied to 3 universities in 3 totally different States. I applied to Utah,Idaho and Hawaii All three which are church schools. Utah is 1st choice, Idaho my 2nd and Hawaii My 3rd (Only b/c it's super far away... and I live in California!) So Far, I got Accepted to BYU Hawaii & Idaho (In that order) It's kinda Bittersweet for me going off to college. I am super Pumped for the Experience & Adventure I have yet to encounter moving to another state. At the same time all my family lives in California, so I'm sure it will be especially hard on my Parents. I'm just grateful that I'm getting Accepted, I know now that a 4.0 Gpa & getting on the Deans List Finally paid off. I still have yet to hear from Utah which btw, is the hardest of the three to get into but, Patience is Key (So I'm told.) If I don't get into Utah, It's ok b/c I think I would really enjoy Rexburg,ID. Here's some Pics of what It looks like. I will Blogging From One of these Places! Can't Wait! So Here are the Campuses: Utah, Idaho, Hawaii
