17 mile cave

2015 has been filled with lots of changes and new beginnings. I currently am in school in Idaho, single and learning more about myself everyday. Today is Valentines day and many people here are celebrating with their significant other. I woke up to discover that my roommate had decorated my bathroom mirror for valentines day!  It was so adorable and it meant so much! That being said I've done more adventurous things than I ever thought I would!  So far I've visited a cave! May not sound too fun,but it was!  Firstly,  this cave was in the middle of nowhere. It was in Idaho Falls off a highway and surrounding it was nothing but dirt. It is called the "17 mile cave" because it is supposedly  17 miles from the city. It was a ton of fun though!!! Seeing that I'm spending valentine's alone this year, my friends decided to adventure and seek out this cave! The entrance was pretty sketchy, heck the whole cave was sketchy!! Nevertheless we continued on and ventured inside. The cave was cold, damp and completely pitch black. We used our flashlights on our phones  and continued  to venture,  I noticed so many graffiti writings inside, lots of used spray cans, man made firepits and a really creepy mask on a rock. safe to say this place was giving me and my roommate the creeps. We refused to venture deeper in the cave, because of that very reason.  In the end it was something i never expected to do, but it was really fun and rewarding!  I found a spray can left with some paint and left my mark as well. Good times with friends made it a great valentine's  day!

Rexburg Two Days!

Hence the title of this post.. Rexburg. Two Days!
It seems unbelievable that I am finally going away to college. Mainly because I have been in college for a few years, what makes this different is it is out of state and a private university. Within these years I have seen and attended my fair share of Junior colleges. So this is all COMPLETELY new to me. I am never the less excited about going to a new place and meeting new people. I’ve always been fascinated with the idea of starting over and reinventing yourself. Starting over, isn’t about leaving things, memories or people behind, but it’s more about learning and becoming more “intune” with yourself. Recently, I have had alot of unexpected changes in my life. I have had to say adios to someone I thought I would spend my life with and honestly It still hurts a little, but I’m doing just fine. I am always surprised how God works, he knows what’s best for me, even when I’m in denial he provides a way..  I am excited to start over and learn more about myself and what I want for a change.

42 Days Till Rexburg!

It's crazy to think that this is the path I'm on. I would say that about 4 years ago I would have never imagined my life, like it is right now. I'm happy, excited, going to college, going to live in another state! I'm literally a cross between Nervous & Anxious. I'm Nervous.. Because I mean yes, I'm 21 and no I have never left home before. I have thoughts running through my mind such as: "Will I be ok?", "Will I make any friends?" "Will I survive?".... haha. I mean these are perfectly rational thoughts in which I'm sure that every college student asks their selves at least once. Right? Also, It’s the Anxious side… “ I can’t wait to leave home! Start a new adventure!” “I wish the date would hurry up already”.. Once again these are normal. Life is full of big questions and sometimes unfortunately there will always be. So, with that being said.. I have decided to just (to the best of my ability) relax. Breathe and Calm down. It’s in our Heavenly Father’s hands. God will give us the tools to overcome our fears and anxiety. Whether you’re struggling with something or don’t know what path your headed. Breathe. I will be ok and I know that You will be ok too. Just leave it in God’s Hands and all the rest will come into place. Rexburg.. Here I come! I’m not leaving till September, but I will enjoy the company of all those around me until I leave.

Valuable lessons in Dating.

Yesterday was Sunday which included Church and then a fireside to follow. The fireside was about Dating and it was great! It was long.. but, great valuable lessons. The fireside was about a web blog turned Book "31 dates in 31 days" by Tamara Duricka Johnson. The best part is that not only was the author their in person, but she was Mormon!(me too) I loved it when I first heard about the fireside and actually looked at her blog after hearing all she had to say. Here's the blog link: So the super "Me" summed up version is that she(me too) was tired of being single and wanted to start anew. The idea ultimately meant to start fresh, go on first dates, have fun and just enjoy the process without any expectations. So, she went on 31 dates in 31 days, had a second date with one of them and ended up marrying the same guy! It's pretty official that she's a Rockstar! In the church alot of times dating isn't easy... like AT ALL! Especially to a Convert looking in.(also like me)So, because of that I have decided to really put myself out there and start dating. I feel like this experience will take time and also building my confidence. One of the Prime Lessons that I learned from Tamara's talk was to just say "Yes". Yes to anyone that asks for a date and/or anyone that I wouldn't normally go for. I should give everyone a chance and that's exactly what I'm going to do. The only problem is that will those same people have the same motto as me, the "Yes" to anyone motto. I just hope to be given a chance as I am giving a chance to everyone else. Another Great Valuable lesson was just because you went on a date with a person and sparks did not fly that doesn't mean it's a dead end. The reason for this is because they have friends! One of those friends could be the one and even your future spouse. So... You...Never...Know... :) So we shall see where this goes!

Accepted?

So I applied to University! I applied to 3 universities in 3 totally different States. I applied to Utah,Idaho and Hawaii All three which are church schools. Utah is 1st choice, Idaho my 2nd and Hawaii My 3rd (Only b/c it's super far away... and I live in California!) So Far, I got Accepted to BYU Hawaii & Idaho (In that order) It's kinda Bittersweet for me going off to college. I am super Pumped for the Experience & Adventure I have yet to encounter moving to another state. At the same time all my family lives in California, so I'm sure it will be especially hard on my Parents. I'm just grateful that I'm getting Accepted, I know now that a 4.0 Gpa & getting on the Deans List Finally paid off. I still have yet to hear from Utah which btw, is the hardest of the three to get into but, Patience is Key (So I'm told.) If I don't get into Utah, It's ok b/c I think I would really enjoy Rexburg,ID. Here's some Pics of what It looks like. I will Blogging From One of these Places! Can't Wait! So Here are the Campuses: Utah, Idaho, Hawaii
